10 days to go

Next week, 18-20 May, Alag Horse Trials will host the leading eventing competition in Hungary, only some minute drive from the centre of Budapest. The event moved back to Dunakeszi-Alag with all three disciplines, this huge effort of the Organizing Committee seems to pay off as they registered a record entry of the last few years.

Alag Horse Trials will welcome a number of the region’s top eventers including the three-time Olympian Harald Ambros (AUT) and Hungary’s top female rider Orsolya Szabó who competed at the Europeans successfully last year.

There will be three different classes the popular CCI1*, CC2* and most challenging CCI3*. More than 70 combinations from eight nations will complete during the three days at Dunakeszi-Alag.

The Ground Jury will be made up of Les Smith (GBR), who judged at Blair Castle Horse Trials last year, along with Maria-Theresa Schaedler (GER) and Aniko Vincze (HUN). Jean Micheal Berkovits (SUI) will be the technical delegate with the help of Hungarian assistant Sándor Fülöp. New Course Designer Christian Zehe (GER) is raising the challanges this year on a perfect footing of Alag with the assistance of the constructor Ákos Jobbik (HUN).
