  • FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing: Great Britain overhauls Germany at final hurdle to claim series title


    Great Britain has won the 2013 FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing by just one point after an epic battle with last year’s champions, Germany.
    The series went right to the wire at the final event, Boekelo (NED), at which Germany scored an emphatic team victory, but the British have run a well-orchestrated campaign with a pool of up-and-coming younger riders and, with the best five results to count, they just secured the win.

    Jock Paget kept an admirably cool head in the pressurised last few minutes of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, final leg of the HSBC FEI Classics™, and became the fifth New Zealander to lift the top prize here at this much-respected British CCI4*.

  • Tokyo wins race to host 2020 Olympics


    Tokyo has been chosen to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games ahead of Istanbul and Madrid. The Japanese capital won a final round of voting by International Olympic Committee (IOC) members in Buenos Aires to beat Istanbul by 60 votes to 36.


     

  • HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships 2013: Magnificent Jung makes it another golden day for Germany


    The spectators at Malmö (SWE) burst into noisy celebrations as Michael Jung (GER) produced yet another brilliant piece of riding to retain his individual title at the HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships and lead his German team mates to a second consecutive gold medal.
